Lombok – an island east of Bali, but less famous than its neighbor. While every year millions of tourists are attracted to Bali, many places on Lombok are still untouched. Over here mass tourism is still unknown.

HOW TO GET TO BANGKANG CAVE LOMBOK
Bangkang Cave, or Goa Bangkang Prabu as the locals call it, is around a 10 minute drive from Kuta – the main tourist area in Lombok.
You can rent scooters for 50,000 IDR a day and choose to explore the south of Lombok on two wheels.
Drivers are available throughout town to rent daily if you’re not confident on scooters and Bangkang Cave is easy to find using the google map below.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE LOMBOK BAT CAVE
If your location is in Kuta, you can head to West, following maps to a location rightly named as ‘Mystical Neverland Bat Cave’.
If you don’t keep your eyes peeled it’s easily missed, as from the road it appears to be just a pile of rubble.
Lombok bat cave looks pretty scary from the top but it’s pretty damn cool inside!
Inside, the locals burned coconuts and the sound of the bats was terrifying. But the magical bamboo stairway leading down and the incredible rays of light that followed were unbelievable!
There were thousands of bats that you can get as close to as possible. Although you'll be more amaze by the way the sunlight hit the rocks and created such beautiful spotlights of sunshine!
Sunrays you'll never forget and a smell that will take weeks to get out of your clothes – Bangkang Cave Lombok is definitely a must visit on the island!
The best time to catch the sun rays is around 12pm.

Lombok is a huge travel destination, there are still many wonderful spots to be found around this island. If you are the type who love exploring more secluded spots, Lombok can be a great place to do so. Consequently, though, most of the hidden gems in Lombok are not supported with easy access.
